Andaluzian Flamenco Dancers
My successful series of Andalusia paintings happened after my travel to Andlusia a couple of years ago, where I was able to gather a lot of visual material. But the paintings are not copies of real dancers, like you can see on the streets of Hereza, Kordobe, Granada, but are my own original interpretations. This interpretation can only come from within. The base for this is my special use of color and painting gestures, which is also tightly connected with my healing process with bio energy. That's why the Andalusia paintings have a healing effect on the viewer as well. The excitement for this theme comes from my fascination with dance coupled with fashion design.
The painting belongs to a series of energetic paintings named after Andalusian flamenco dancers. They are characterized by vivid colours and dots on clothes that cling to the dancers' curves.

Urška and Flood Man
It is a diptych consisting on the left of an abstract painting and on the right of a
figural painting. Urška and the Water man have jumped into a dancing couple from
the whirl on the left painting. She is bright in yellowish shades and in a joyful
expectation, while he is dark and horrifying, but powerful and in love. They have
together twirled into the green-blue river Ljubljanica.

Free as a Bird
If I were free as a bird,
I would turn to my inner being.
I would fly far, far away.
I would touch the sun and the heavens.
I would look at the world from a different perspective and contemplate.

OLE is an energy healing painting that with it's saturated colors takes us to a world of sensibility and raw power where the silhouette of the flamenco dancer slowly turns into a bull.
